Grants made are intended to form part only of the costs involved in these projects and to supplement other donations or fun-raising. There may sometimes be difficulties in making grants which support other charities, and thus grants may be to assist in travel making grants which support other charities, and thus grants may be to assist in travel or living costs (Thus freeing other funding) rather than the project itself.

A question often asked by new (and some old) visitors to the Craft aid shop is "Where do the profits from the Craft Aid shop go?"
The answer is simple; into the Lancaster Craft Aid Trust. What comes next is a bit less basic and a bit more interesting - what does the Trust do with its income?
The declared aims of the Trust (a registered Charity) are
1) To support TearFund and the TraidCraft Exchange
2) To make grants to people from the Lancaster area for work of a Christian nature in developing countries
